Online Business Matching for Epidemic Prevention – Smart Products and Technology (II)

Coronavirus pandemic is continuing to spread across the world. To promote the smart medical products of Taiwan on COVID-19 prevention, CCH continues the online seminar topic of last week, on June 24th webinar, CCH invited Huijia Health Life Technology, ThinkCloud Technology, and LIPS Corp. to share how their products being applied to protect health workers from getting infected in the common scenarios from long-term care organizations, quarantine areas and wards in the COVID-19 outbreak period and assist to provide good quality care of patients. Dr Roy Lee, Deputy Director of Taiwan WTO Center, of Chunghua Institution for Economic Research and Dr. Leo Lee, Chen-Yu, the Executive Committee of Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Taipei Secretary Office, were invited to give opening remarks. Roy Lee illustrated the function of NSP medical resource platform and also expressed working with CCH is good to synergy resources promoting the Taiwan medical products. Leo Lee recommend the three speakers’ medical devices and wish them success to market in Southeast countries.  
 
Ms. Shu-Chen Yang, the CEO of Huijia Health Life Technology presented the application of nFOPT. The Smart Care Film is sensitive to breathe and heartbeat, so the caregiver can provide instant assist while sick people or elderly have breathing difficulties especially during mid-night. Mr. Benson Lee, the Director of Strategic Business Development of LIPS Corp. illustrated that AI and 3D technology can play a crucial role in COVID-19 pandemic. Based on 3D AI sensor, LIPSCare can monitor the elder’s activities in the senior home. It also can be used to monitor COVID-19 patients and provide immediate notification to nursing aid for assistance if the abnormal activities occur such as fall or faintness.
 
Mr. Antonio Tapia, the International Sales Deputy Manager of ThinkCloud presented that SelfieSign is a dynamic biometric e-signature solution based on video recording and facial recognition. The products also can be applied to protect health workers from getting infected in the common scenarios and promote the paperless be universal.
 
After the three speakers’ presentations, there are two reactors, Assoc. Prof. Apichai Wattanapisit, from Walailak University and Dr. Chousak, Director of Bangkok Christian Hospital are shared their feedback for the topic. Dr. Apichai mentioned if the venders would like to promote their products at Walailak University Hospital, there are three important components need to be considered, first is the benefit to the patient, including quality and patient safety, second is the health provider, the friendly operation is the key, and the third component is a reasonable price. Besides, the devices can be applied to education and research also need to be incorporated into consideration. Nevertheless, venders have to understand the Thai regulation and system before starting the marketing in Thai, of course, good maintenance service is very important as well.  Dr. Chousak also concerns if there are a local distributor and after-sales service of the products. He also welcomes the healthcare Expo. in Thailand and if the vendor can demonstrate the products at the hospital will be helpful too.
 
Around 110 participants from medical industries, health workers, public and private health sectors including Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Malaysia were invited to join.
