The 2024 Taiwan-Thailand Smart Healthcare Conference was held on November 22 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand. Co-hosted by Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and the Biotech and Research Center for Biotechnology and Medicine Policy (BRCBMP), the event attracted over 200 medical professionals, healthcare providers, and smart healthcare industry leaders. The conference centered on key topics such as climate change, ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance), and sustainable healthcare. Experts from Taiwan and Thailand engaged in in-depth discussions on health challenges and solutions arising from global environmental changes, with participants praising the event for its insights and success.


The conference brought together distinguished experts from Taiwan and Thailand, representing healthcare, public and private sectors, and smart technology company. Discussions highlighted how smart healthcare can address escalating climate challenges while meeting the growing demand for sustainable health systems. Experts presented cutting-edge research and real-world applications in areas such as medical data analytics, green energy strategies for hospitals, and innovative smart medical service models. These discussions underscored the potential for Taiwan and Thailand to strengthen collaboration in the field of smart healthcare.

Dr. Nina Kao, CEO of the Overseas Medical Center at CCH, emphasized in her opening remarks: "Climate change and sustainable development are pressing global issues. We are committed to fostering cross-border exchanges and advancing the application of smart healthcare through Taiwan-Thailand collaboration to drive sustainable development in the health industry."

Ms. Jessie Tseng, Deputy Executive Director of TAITRA’s Service Industry Promotion Center, highlighted the conference's role in deepening bilateral engagement: "This event facilitated meaningful dialogue between Taiwan and Thailand’s medical sectors and paved the way for expanded collaboration in smart healthcare. TAITRA will continue to support Taiwanese companies in exploring international markets and addressing global health challenges."


The conference concluded with a tour of the Taiwan Smart Healthcare Pavilion, showcasing nearly 30 leading Taiwanese brands. The pavilion featured a smart medical scenario display, including telemedicine devices, precision medicine technologies, AI healthcare solutions, and smart health monitors. The exhibit drew significant interest from Thai medical institutions and agents. Notably, Taiwan’s Biomab Company and Thailand’s ATGenes signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on precision medicine and cell therapy. This partnership aims to enhance cancer treatment options for patients in Thailand, demonstrating the tangible outcomes of the event.


The 2024 Taiwan-Thailand Smart Healthcare Conference not only showcased Taiwan’s innovation and leadership in smart healthcare but also highlighted the opportunities for deeper collaboration with Thailand. The event sets a strong foundation for driving sustainable healthcare solutions and fostering international partnerships to address global health challenges.
