2025淨零排放科技國際競賽@Taiwan EDM (中英合版)

To cultivate next-generation talent in net-zero emission technologies, the TECO Technology Foundation, in collaboration with National Taiwan University (NTU), is honored to co-organize the 2025 Net Zero Tech International Contest. This global competition invites outstanding university students and researchers worldwide to form interdisciplinary teams and propose forward-looking solutions for a sustainable, low-carbon future.

The contest is chaired by NTU President Dr. Wen-Chang Chen and consists of two divisions: the International Contest and the Taiwan Contest. A total of 40 awards will be presented, with a combined prize pool of NT$6.5 million (approximately USD 197,000), including top prizes of NT$1 million (around USD 30,300) for each division champion—setting a new benchmark for innovation competitions in both Taiwan and abroad.

This year’s event is generously supported by 13 corporate and institutional sponsors, including the Paujar Charity Foundation, Fubon Financial Holding Co., Ltd., CHEN-YUNG Foundation, LITE-ON Technology Corp., CPC Corporation, Taiwan, Shiny Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd., Hua Nan Bank, Ltd., and Nan Pao Resins Chemical Co., Ltd., among others. Following the participation of 240 teams in 2024, the 2025 edition is expected to surpass 250 teams and over 1,000 faculty and student participants, highlighting both the growing momentum and the increasing diversity of net-zero technology innovations.

To facilitate inquiries and participation, the contest features an AI-powered Intelligent Service System that not only provides the latest competition updates on an ongoing basis, but also offers highly efficient and accurate 24/7 support in over 50 languages throughout the year.

In addition, all international teams attending the finals in Taiwan will receive at least USD 3,000 in prize money and travel subsidies. Complimentary visits to Taiwan’s leading institutions and enterprises in net-zero technology will also be arranged, to foster international exchange in net-zero innovation, education, and cross-cultural understanding.
